Basic Scriptures: HEBREWS 10 : 30-36, 1 SAMUEL 30 : 1-1

OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR 1ST MARCH 2021.

Just imagine this: You returned from a 3-day long journey and discovered that your village or house had been burnt to the ground! Not a person or house was in sight. Your bedroom was gone! All livestock and other animals were gone too. Your heart beats so fast as if it will fall from your chest. Then you discovered that your enemies – The Amalekites had overrun your village, burning everything that couldn’t be transported. ALL THEY LEFT BEHIND WERE ASHES which they could not transport! Yet in the midst of that pain, Vs. 6 says: “And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” HOW DID HE ENCOURAGE HIMSELF IN THE LORD? Perhaps Heb. 10: 32 (Today’s 1 st scripture) was David’s secret: “But call to remembrance the former days, in which (or when) you endured a great struggle with suffering…”

The word “REMEMBRANCE” is the key. When the enemy burns down your ZIKLAG, when battles you did not plan for show up, when your enemies seem to be winning, when men have betrayed you or when DELAY and mockery is now your name, always catch this secret: REMEMBER THE PAST! REMEMBER WHAT GOD HAS DONE IN THE PAST! And if He did it before, HE WILL DO IT AGAIN. That was DAVID’S secret of ENCOURAGING HIMSELF IN THE LORD! It means He REMEMBERED what his God had done before and he knew his last bus-stop would not be ASHES or WEEPING BUS- STOP! Oh! Always remember when God answered a prayer and gave you a blessing that was awesome! Remember when you thought the last trial was the absolute worst; and yet you overcame it? Remember? Wow! Encourage yourself with it! Remember when and how you first became a Christian. Hook to some “precious memories.” These memories are a treasure house! Use them when encouragement is needed. Psalm 77:11 says: “I will remember the works of the LORD; surely I will remember Thy wonders of old.” Did you get that? That was DAVID’s secret… (To be continued tomorrow).

DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY

…Abraham begat Isaac, Isaac begat Jacob and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren” (Matthew 1:2); thus, the Bible began the genealogy of our Lord Jesus Christ. A parallel passage traced the genealogy to “Adam which was the son of God” (Luke 3:23-38). The records of genealogy played vital roles in Israel. As a nation, it helped them to identify true Israelites and those whose genealogy could not be ascertained, were denied the privileges of service.

God’s promise to Abraham that his seed shall be as “the stars of heaven”, came to pass. Israel was also a chosen nation, separated unto God. So, in our text, we see the records of the names of some of the children of Judah. Judah was particularly significant because through his lineage came David and Christ. These records bear a testimony of God’s faithfulness in keeping His word.

Record-keeping is very important. And that is why God often instructs His servants “…what thou seest, write in a book” (Revelation 1:11). The children of Israel were very good record-keepers. They carefully kept and preserved their genealogies. And yet, there is another “Book of genealogy”. This one is not kept by Israel nor by any man. There in that Book are the names of “the redeemed… the ransomed of the LORD”. This “Book of genealogy” is so important that any person whose name is not found therein shall be cast into the Lake of fire.

Whatever great message one is used of God to preach, whatever charitable deeds, signs or wonders; the greatest of them all is that one’s name is written in that Book of Life. Is your name there? Have you repented? Have you made Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour? If not, you have to repent of your sins, confess and forsake them for your name to enter the Book.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Make sure your name is in God’s Book of genealogy of the redeemed.

Basic Scriptures: JOB 2 : 1-1

OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR 24TH FEBRUARY 2021.

Vs 7 of today’s scripture says: “So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.” Vs 8: “And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.” Vs 9: “Then said his wife unto him, ‘Dost thou still retain thine integrity? Curse God and die.” Note Vs. 8 again: he sat down among the ashes. Ashes in the Bible is a symbol of shame, defeat and losses! Ashes mean that the FIRE and the GLORY IS GONE! So, when Satan attacked Job and burnt all that he had laboured for, all that was left were ASHES! Remember that here was a man who sat on kingly thrones and chairs! Here was a rich man that dressed with apparels of the rich and mighty! Here was a man who was once the head and not the tail – HE WAS THE RICHEST MAN IN THE EAST! Suddenly he was brought LOW AND HE WAS REVERSED (demoted) FROM GLORY TO ASHES! In this New year, the LORD is telling me to inform you that He has programmed your RAISE from ASHES to your THRONE! The LORD is saying to 12, 810 users of today’s devotional:

“In this New year, THOSE THAT SAW YOU AMONG THE ASHES SHALL SEE YOU AMONG THE GREAT! THOSE THAT SAW YOU AMONG THE ASHES SHALL SEE YOU AMONG THE DANCERS OF JOY!Yea, they that have secretly mocked you shall see your OPEN LIFTING AND HONOUR shall come upon you! I shall do a thing that will silence all for good. I shall raise you up! I shall raise you out! I shall do it again.” Oh, worship the LORD NOW! Thank God that the LORD turned the captivity of Job and the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before! That shall be your story! ASHES CANNOT BE THE LAST CHAPTER OF YOUR DESTINY! No matter how the past years have been, refuse to sit down in the ASHES OF THE PAST! LOOK UP! TRUST GOD AGAIN and HOLD ON! Always remember Isaiah 61:7 – “For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they (YOU) shall rejoice in their (YOUR) portion in Jesus name.”

Basic Scriptures: PSALM 30 : 1-1, JOHN 11 : 1-1

OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR 22ND FEBRUARY 2021.

Sometimes, some people describe their lives this way: CRUEL as death and HUNGRY as the GRAVE! Yes, the GRAVE is HUNGRY and never satisfied, but do you know that some spend a whole life digging their graves? When you WORRY over what you cannot change, you are digging your grave! When you are BITTER and live in UNFORGIVENESS, you are digging your grave! When you contend against a prophet of God, you are digging your grave! Yes! When you dishonour your parents or their memory, you are a grave digger! When you want to live like an island, you are digging a deep grave for yourself!

Even the LORD Jesus called Lazarus from the grave but He asked for the people around Him to help move the stone and remove the grave clothes. If Jesus could call Lazarus from the grave, couldn’t He have commanded that rock to move from the front of the gravesite and it would have moved? Yes! Here are three lessons from the graveyard: “Life is too short.” In this early year, 2021, walk around a graveyard once in a while. There you will see babies, teenagers, young kids in their 20’s or below fill that place.

People who probably spent most of their time here, worrying about bills, wondering about what they’re going to do with their lives, who they’re going to marry, who/what they will become, etc. Then before they know it, life takes them away from this planet. Leaving their family crushed, leaving those bills unpaid, literally killing any future that they spent so much time worrying about. “Enjoy the people you have; one day God’s going to need them back.” Live your life for you and no one else! Ultimately, death is inevitable. When we are in the ground, and our family is staring at the patch of grass that covers our coffins, and the nice, shiny stones that sit on it, do you want them to look at all you have left of this world and think, “He/she never spent time or cared about us?”

Be fearless. Be bold. Make a difference. A graveyard shows you just how much you have to be thankful for; good or bad. AT LEAST YOU ARE ALIVE! Don’t let people say about you: “She/he had so much potential; he/she could have done so much.” Determine to make an impact! Don’t wait until it’s too late; don’t spend six months in a graveyard full of regret. Get up and be beautiful, bebold, be adetermined- never-quitting person. God created you to leave a mark for your generation. Dust yourself off and move on. You will overcome! This is your year!

Basic Scriptures: MATTHEW 11 : 23-30

OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR 20TH FEBRUARY 2021.

Vs. 29 of today’s Word says: “Take My yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” Vs. 30 says: “For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” Did you get that? THE LORD HAS A YOKE and a BURDEN (load) YOU MUST CARRY after YOU DROP SATAN’S YOKE! His Yoke is EASY and His Burden is light. That means after being BORN AGAIN, there are certain things you CANNOT DO AGAIN! They are called YOKES AND BURDENS because your FLESH desires them but YOU CANNOT DO THEM AGAIN. They are called, YOKES AND BURDENS because OTHERS may do them, but YOU CANNOT DO THEM. Others may talk, dress, do business, etc, anyhow, BUT YOU CANNOT. Once you are BORN AGAIN, there MUST be a difference between you and others who are not.

YOUR LIFE MUST BE AN EXAMPLE and a LIGHT! That is the YOKE on you! You cannot keep grudges and remain in unforgiveness the way you used to. You must let go and let God. You cannot go to the places you used to go anymore and you cannot remain with the wrong people as your best friends anymore. But see the difference: Satanic YOKES are heavy and they reduce you. DIVINE YOKES are EASY AND LIGHT because HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT! Hear Oswald Chambers: “I have never met the man I could despair of after discerning what lies in me apart from the grace of God.” Oh! HIS GRACE for the RACE! That is why the YOKE from the LORD leads to REST!

Vs. 29. says: “Ye shall find REST unto your souls.” Yes! REST means REWARD, promotion and divine intervention along your earthly race without sorrow/ struggles attached. Rest means His YOKE/BURDEN becomes your batch and He takes over your battles! Rest means the burial of DISGRACE! Rest means DIVINE QUIT NOTICE to evil loads and FAILURE! Rest means you will become the ENVY of your generation and the LORD can boast with you! Arise today and re-dedicate your life, family and ministry as you pray seriously now: “LORD, In 2021, I take Your YOKE AND BURDEN AFRESH!”

Psalm 107:2 says: “Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” Did you get that? LET THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD SAY SO! Say so! Say so! Say so! Talk! Talk! Talk! In this year 2021, if you are redeemed, SAY SO! Wake up in the morning and say so! Say it to see it! Wake up in the morning and declare that YOU ARE HEALED/WELL! Wake up in the morning and declare that THE DEVIL IS UNDER YOUR FEET! Wake up in the morning and declare that 2021 IS YOUR YEAR OF OPEN REWARD AND PUBLIC DECORATION! SAY SO! Wake up in the morning and declare that DEPRESSION IS A STRANGER TO YOUR ADDRESS! Wake up and declare that: THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH/PORTION! Yes!

If you understood the awesome power of your words, you would prefer silence to almost anything negative. In our thoughts and words, we create our own weaknesses and our own strengths. “Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts.

We can always replace negative with positive” (Betty Eadie). I magine a little bird trapped in the fowler’s net. By the way, a FOWLER is an occupational name for a bird-catcher or hunter of wild birds! Just imagine the bird lying there helpless – its little heart beating with fear and terror, its wings beating wildly against the net, but to no avail. The more it struggles, the more battered and bruised it becomes. Frightened, it begins to cry and screech. But escape is impossible. It is completely at the mercy of the fowler. Beloved, that little bird is you – snared by the various nets of enemies and their WINDOW or POINTS OF CONTACT INTO YOUR LIFE could be sin! But see Psalm 91:3: “Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.” In this year 2021 and at this weekend’s ASABA special ANOINTING SERVICE, starting today, the LORD shall deliver you from every trap (snare) of the fowler!

We shall pray and JUMP OVER evil NETS month by month this weekend!Think of the little bird again, trapped in the net. That night, the fowler goes to bed dreaming of this special little bird he/she’s been after. He/she can hardly sleep, he/she’s so anxious to go out the next day and see if he/she’s caught it. That’s how Satan plans day and night concerning you! But I arise by the unction of my Father God, the GOD OF OPEN REWARD and decree: Your life and ministry will DISAPPOINT every DEMONIC FOWLER and by the anointing you will fly as the EAGLE out of their reach! I am led to decree that YOU and your LOVED ONES SHALL ESCAPE daily in 2021. Evil NETS and TRAPS shall backfire! I shall LIE ON, AND ROLL ON every prayer point brought to ASABA tomorrow 8am. This is your year!

A story (an allegory) is told that Satan had three demons in training. He asked … “How can we deceive this generation and bring more people into Eternal Damnation?” Demon #1 thought about it and said, “I’ll tell them that the Bible is just full of fables; it is all a lie and shouldn’t be listened to or trusted.” Satan said, “That will work for a while, but there is something inside each man, woman, boy and girl that rings true when the Word of God is read. As soon as you stop, they will turn to it. As soon as times are tough, they will look for answers in God’s Word.” Demon #2 said, “I know, I’ll convince them that there is no God, no Heaven, No Hell, and Jesus was just a good Man.” Satan said “You can try that and you will convince some, but there is a space in every heart that longs for God and knows that He is calling them and longs for their home in Heaven.” Demon #3 then said, “I think I have it; I will tell them, ‘There is a God, there is a Heaven, the Bible is God’s Word, and Jesus is the Saviour, but there is NO Hurry, No Rush, No Need to Receive Him Today, there’s plenty of Time”Satan said.

That’s it! That’s it! That’s it! Tell them there’s plenty of time, there’s no hurry! Postpone whatever you desire to do till tomorrow.” What an allegory (a story that teaches a moral lesson). The Holy Ghost is reminding you that: In 2021, delay is not a helpmate! The cemetery is full of people who thought they could DO IT tomorrow. Let your MOTTO this year be: DO IT NOW! Hear Henry B. The late Steven Paul Jobs was an American inventor, designer and entrepreneur who co-founded Apple Computers with Steve Wozniak. Under Jobs’ guidance, the company pioneered a series of revolutionary technology, including the iPhone and iPad. Jobs died in Palo Alto on October 5, 2011, after battling pancreatic cancer for nearly a decade. He was 56 years old. In an eulogy for Jobs, his sister Mona Simpson wrote that just before dying, Jobs looked for a long time at his sister Patty, then his wife and children and said his last words: “OH WOW. OH WOW. OH WOW.” However, some others have added that his last words were more than just, “OH WOW! OH WOW! OH WOW.” “Unconfirmed” reports have said that he also wrote: “I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world. In others’ eyes, my life is an epitome of success. However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to. At this moment, lying on this sick bed and recalling my whole life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of impending death. You can employ someone to drive the car for you, make money for you but you cannot have someone to bear the sickness for you.

Material things lost can be found. But there is one thing that can never be found when it is lost – “Life.” When a person goes into the hospital operating room, he will realize that there is one book that he has yet to finish reading – the “Book of Healthy Life.” Whichever stage in life we are in right now, with time, we will face the day when the curtain comes down. Treasure love for your family, love for your spouse, love for your friends…treat yourself well. Cherish others. As we grow older, and hence wiser, we slowly realize that wearing a $300 or $30 watch – they both tell the same time. Whether we carry a $300 or $30 wallet/handbag – the amount of money inside is the same; whether we drive a $150,000 car or a $30,000 car, the road and distance is the same, and we get to the same destination. Whether we drink a bottle of $300 or $10 wine – the hangover is the same; whether the house we live in is 300 or 3000 sq ft – loneliness is the same.

You will realize, your true inner happiness does not come from the material things of this world. Whether you fly first or economy class, if the plane goes down – you go down with it…” Indeed, whether those words came from him or not, today’s scripture, Verses 13-14 gives a complete summary/solution TO MAN’S VANITY PASSAGE through planet earth: “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” Live your life with the word, “VANITY” in mind even as you plan daily because someday, you will enter that casket and be dipped 6ft deep in a lonely grave! Pray now.

OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR 5TH FEBRUARY 2021.

The question I always ask as I deal with people across the globe is: “When you pray, are you really praying?” I ask this question because: Many People Think That They Are Praying When All That They Are Actually Doing Is Complaining. Be reminded that in Mark 5: 21-42, the one-sentence prayer of Jairus has two parts: Part 1 – “My little daughter lies at the point of death”; Part 2 – “But come and lay Your hands on her and she shall be healed and she shall live.” Lots of people experience prayer failure because they end their prayers at the bus-stop of part one. All they do is tell God what problems they are faced with.

You Need To Stop Telling God What You Have, And Start Telling Him What You Want. Stop Telling God About The Greatness Of Your Goliath And Start Telling Your Goliath About The Greatness Of Your God (The battle of words – today’s scripture and also see Psalm 60: 12). That was what DAVID DID! Whenever you pray, make sure you are not complaining! He Already Knows What Your Problems Are Even Before You Knew You Had A Problem. Wow! All He Needs From You Now Is Your Voice Of Faith. If Your Voice Of Complaints Is Louder Than Your Voice Of Faith, You CANNOT Command DIVINE ATTENTION! In this year 2021, adjust your prayer life and begin to receive GREATER answers for everything that you ever desire! Shalom!
