Basic Scripture: 1 Samuel 23: 7 -17.
OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR 8TH OCTOBER 2020.
Remember the wonderful story in yesterday’s devotional of how a box of biscuits saved a life! I remember Audrey Hepburn: “As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands: One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.” See Prov. 21: 13 – “Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.” That scripture is saying (paraphrased): “If you refuse to put a smile on someone’s face, the smile on your own face will be taken away. God forbid!
It was after Abraham showed help to the Trinity who were disguised as three weary strangers in Genesis 18 that A MAJOR DELAY in his life was broken! Isaac was born the following year after 25 years of waiting! That reminds us again of Prov. 19:17: “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will He pay him again.” God can disguise Himself as a person in need! EACH TIME YOU GIVE TO THE POOR (PHYSICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY), YOU ARE LENDING TO GOD AND GOD BECOMES A “BORROWER.”

GENERAL PRAYERS TO START EACH MONTH OF 2020! – GOD’S COVENANT SHALL STAND
That means you LEND TO THE LORD by helping the needy and HE CAN PAY YOU BACK in ways you least expect! It can lead to the salvation of a loved one or a fruit of the womb testimony, etc. Yes, blessings that money CANNOT buy will locate you. Make it a regular habit after your Tithe to God.
When you have pity and help someone, open to Proverbs 19:17 and REMIND GOD that He is OWING YOU! Make GIVING OUT MORE COPIES OF ODM as your first act of generosity this week. This is because the GREATEST POVERTY IS THE POVERTY OF THE SPIRIT/SOUL!
One extra ODM Copy can provoke your testimony! But don’t stop there! Make each new day count by helping someone or just making someone smile! Close with Catherine Pulsifer: “Kindness and helping others will return to you when you least expect it, and maybe when you need it.” I see NEW BREAKTHROUGHS LOCATING YOU as you practice this secret.
Remember the young man who saved his mother’s life because he gave out a box of biscuits! You are the next to testify! Do something today! Do something always! SHARE TODAY’S WORD WITH A FRIEND or FAMILY! Get them an ODM COPY!
